Hey,

I wonna get rid of my windows vista, so now I'm trying to install xp on it

I put in the CD and boot from it, but as soon as it's loading the setup, I get BSOD

I keep getting it each time I try to install xp on it, so it's just not working

I had thesame problem when trying to install Tinyxp (modded xp)...

Can anyone tell me what is going wrong and how to fix this?

Thanks!!

It may be due to having a SATA HDD.
If you have one then you will need SP2 or the drivers for your system when you install it.
The easiest thing I can suggest would be to get SP2 and slipstream it onto the XP disk.
Then your install should go smooth.

So the only thing I do is add SP2 to my install disk and it would work?

I had thesame problem when installing TinyXp like I said, and I tried slipstreaming drivers on it, but because it was a modded version of xp, I couldn't find most files like it was explained on the slipstream guide :p
This is a real version of windows xp, so I hope it will work out then...

Any chance I can also make that TinyXp to work? Are there other ways then slipstreaming drivers on the ISO?

There are but I wouldnt worry about them if you dont have to.
This should be the easiest.
