Emailing help with windoes 7

i bought and downloaded windows 7 but it wont install on my computer, i cant get a refund i guess, how would i get a free hard copy of windows 7 to install so it will actually work?

Hold on there! Please post your system specs and explain in detail what you mean by "won't install". Then we can work from there.

im guessing he downloaded a dvd image to use for an install, you will have to burn the image to dvd and install

This would be my guess as well. Probably got that stupid Student edition download or something. Why, oh why, couldn't Microsoft have simply distributed an iso file for the student download like they did for everything else?
