New computer won't boot

Put my new computer together, but it won't boot. Here are the parts:
Gigabyte DS3 motherboard
Core 2 Duo E6600
DDR2 800 Patriot Dual Channel Memory
(Took out other parts when it wouldn't boot, some problem).

I turn on the power and it starts beeping crazily for about a second. The CPU fan starts to spin for about 3 seconds, and then it stops. I tried the troubleshooting guide for the DS3 to figure out the beeping, but it doesn't seem to match anything. Any ideas?

Thanks

I should mention that I don't think it's the power supply because I tried swapping in a different power supply and the same thing happened, although it was able to keep spinning once (though it still beeped).

It sounds like the memory or graphics card is not plugged in securely

Continuous Beeping: Memory or video problem

Explanation: The system is producing constant beeping in no specific pattern, or a fast "ringing" sound.

Diagnosis: This is usually caused by a problem with the system memory, or possibly the video card. The memory is more likely--the system complains long and loud if it can't find any usable memory, as there is no way to even start the boot process when this is the case. The motherboard itself could also be the problem.
