I'm looking for a free program that will organize my getting-out-of-control video collection. I've tried several already, but have not found one that fits my needs. Most of the programs I've tracked down are made specifically for DVD collections, and I need something that can organize my media files (WMV, AVI, etc.).

Basically, I'm looking for a browser/organizer with the following features:

-Advanced tag/keyword search
-Support for embedded tags
-Embedded player with option to play files via external player
-Advanced organizational options
-Simple UI
-Multiple format support

Anybody out there have any good suggestions?

Windows Media player comes free with Windows and is not bad, unless you need to play DVDs. It will search for all of your media.

VLC has a media manager also.

Thanks for the tips. I despise WMP's interface, so I'll take a look at VLC. Hopefully it has a thumbnail view option.
