How to unblock start-up programs on my computer

Windows Vista blocked some of my start-up programs. Despite this, the computer worked well. But I thought I was clever and clicked on the block icon and told it to block only the non-essential programs and now it seems to have blocked everything, including my anti-virus program. How do I get it to unblock. Thanks for your help.

Disable the UAC (User Account Control) reboot the PC and you get it.

click on windows, type in the search box msconfig, hit enter. click on the startup tab on the top, you can choose which programs you would like to have run on startup.
