Activation

First of so there is no confusion i have been running the same copy of windows xp, with the exact same hardware set up for over a year. today my power went off and my computer of course turned off. when i restarted it, it loaded the welcome screen to long me into windows, then it said my copy of windows had to be activated before i could log in, i clicked yes to activate windows, the next screen said "windows already activated, click exit to finish. it then goes back to the log in screen and the process restarts. any suggestions?

Try calling Microsoft's activation line. It's relatively quick and painless.
