Help With Webcam

Hello,I am trying to install a GigaWare webcam. when I plug it in the computer and put the cd in the computer does not recognize it. Nothing at all comes up. I also tried the install wizard. It tells me to shut down the computer and then nothing happens. I know it should not be this hard. Please help. I need specific directions.

put the CD with software in, double click it if autorun doesn't come up.

find the setup.exe and run it

if the setup doesn't tell you when to connect the webcam to the computer, connect the webcam first and redo the installation.

if that doesn't work at all, check in device manager, if there's no webcam hardware at all you have a faulty wire or webcam, contact vendor/manufacturer for replacement.
