All of a sudden my computer will not play You Tube, CNN video etc. I get the message that I need to install Adobe Flash Player 8 or better. I have installed version 10 and there is no change. I have reset the internet security options to custom and set the Active X to enable. What should I do?

Try uninstalling all instances of Adobe Player.

Go to Control panel - Add or Remove Programs -

From there uninstall all instances of Adobe Flash Player.

Reinstall Adobe Flash. See if that works.

If not try doing a Windows System restore to a ealier point.
I suggest to the day before this happened if able.

I hope this works.

I deleted Adobe Flash Player and loaded the newest version. The message comes up that either my Java Script is turned off or I need a new download of Adobe Flash Player. I think I am going in circles. I did a find on my Java Script, clicked on it and nothing happened so I sent out and loaded a free Java Script. Still I get the same messages. This is the pits. Oh yea, there is no add or remove programs on the control panel. It is listed under Programs and then uninstall a program. Should I uninstall Java Script and start over? Janie

Start menu-->control panel-->there should be an icon called add/remove programs. It should be the 3rd icon.

You may have deleted flash player, but you may still need to uninstall it in the control panel. Then try reinstalling.

You can get the newest version of java here.
