I have a system by sony. It has a system recovery disk. I'm getting a freeze after microsoft logo appears and while windows (blue Screen windows load) is loading.

I need to buy a xp home cd to do a repair. The recovery disk is originally in xp home without any sp1, 2, or 3. I have updated to sp3 at the crash.

Do I need to buy the Home version or will any home with a SP# attached do the repair?
