I would like to record my voice while playing music in the background. Anyone have a idea of what sound card would be best. I do have surround sound connected to my pc now using a audigy 2 card. Bruce

Probably one of M-Audios sound solutions will be what you're looking for you'll have to make the call as to which one for your needs yourself, I have the 1010LT, I use for my computer DJ purposes.

Newegg carries M-Audio if you decide to go that route, but the link I provided will give you more indepth information of what each of their sound offerings will do, they also have a lot more sound equipment, and as for sound stereo quality, their products rock.

Your audigy 2 would be more than enough for that. It records at higher than CD quality. All you need is a good mic and the right software. What software package did you get with the audigy?
