Printer will not print.

I have an HP photosmart 7550 printer that worked fine under XP. In order to get it to run under Vista you have to install drivers from a diffrent model printer and configure the port so it will print. I have done everything that HP specifies on their website but I still cannot get it to print. If I go into the menu on the LCD and calibrate the printer it prints fine for the calibration process. But if I try to print a test page or anything it will not print. The printer draws the paper through the printer and goes through the motions like it is going to print but nothing prints out. Any ideas as to what I can do to get it to print? All of the cartridges have plenty of ink in them.

Download the correct driver, install and try again.

Already done that. Had to install the driver for a deskjet 5550 to get my 7550 to work in vista.

You can't not install the driver of another printer. You need the correct driver of your printer, in this case, the 7550 not the 5550.

5550 driver must be used in place of 7550 in Vista64.
