Whats better for mid level gamer

I have vista home premium, should I upgrade to windows 7 and will there be a performance boost with windows 7. I have amd 64 athlonx2 4450e processor, 3 gig of pc-800 zotac 9800gt amp pci-ex16 and 1.5 tb hardrive.

personally, i think what you have now is perfectly fine for a "mid level gamer".. you have more than enoughthan what you need for gaming

I lovemy system I was asked by Hp if I wanted a free upgrade to windows 7 for 13 dollars for shipping for the computer, and looking to see if I need to update the video card since its a year old now, I played modern warfare 2 and borderlands and they run great on this system.

You won't see any real performance increase just by upgrading to windows 7.

It may be worth buying the upgrade OS to have for when you do decide to do a hardware upgrade/rebuild.

It's probably an OEM upgrade OS, which is tied to the original build it's installed with. So you may want to just buy it and hold onto it.
