Whe this computer was setup, they added a FAT32 partition H: that is called System, while the C: partition is called Boot.
I was told it was to restore the system, if necessary. But the computer won't boot without it. I do backups and images diligently, and do not see the point of the H: partition. Could/should it be merged to C:?
I am getting a new hard drive soon, and may also set up a RAID 1 system in the future.
Perhaps I just leave well enough alone on this system, and leave the hard drive structure the way it is? Maybe. I would just at least like some insight.
Thanks

Maybe is 'cause FAT32 only support max 4GB...and the back ups coul be more bigger that the max size.

OK, it looks like the OS is installed in this H: partition, as well as the System Restore information. And the Windows folder the C: partition?
If I boot to the "unknown operating system on H:", the system "prepares to restore system". I assume to the original OS as installed? Or does it wipe data and programs?
