Ventrilo lags all processes no matter what.

Lately whenever i open ventrilo now, after about 10-15 minutes of using it it'll random start lagging all my processes. You can hear weird frequency noises when people talk or if a noise is made. It lags EVERYTHING and i have to restart the computer to make it stop.

I'm using Windows 7 Pro x64bit

2.66Ghz Q9400 processor
4 gigs DDR2 1066 SDRAM
XFX GTS 250 1GB
1TB HDD


So i doubt it's my computer. Is it a compatibility issue with windows 7 and ventrilo?

And yes i've tried reinstalling vent.

Any help would be appreciated, i really need to get this program working again.
