I'm gonna be building a new system this summer, and I'll be using it for gaming, among other uses of course.

I'm planning on pairing the system with a Dell 2407 24" display, which has a resolution of 1920x1200.

What's the best card to get for this setup? I assume it's the 8800GTX, but how would the GTS 640MB do as well?

Thanks

The 8800GTS 640mb should be fine.

If you are willing to spend more, go for the GTX.

I'm considering the same monitor as well. That, or the 37'' Westinghouse that boasts 1920x1080 resolution along with 1080p.

I second prozac that the GTS will do fine, but the GTX will do better. :D
