Odd behavior with port forwarding

Good Morning,

In order to have remote access to a company application, it has been necessary to buy a static ip, so as to type it in the IE or other software applications (f.e. TightVnC) and get connected to the remote pc

The router we are using is the Speedtouch 585i V6 Thomson, which has been set with the help of portforward.com.

There are about 20 pcs connected to the specific LAN.

For a month, the administrator of the plant could get connected with the remote pc wihtout any problem

The problem occured before a few days, when the administrator of the plant couldn't have access to the remote pc, while we could from the office.

We tried also from other pcs outside the office and the connection was impossible.

We checked everything. Router's settings, Pc's settings, IE's settings (Tools -> Internet Options -> Security Settings), and all of them were same in all pcs

Although it is very odd, the only difference we found is that in the office we have static ip, while the pcs that cannot have remote access use dynamic ip.

Is there any idea what might be wrong?
Or, what else can we try?

We have also spoken to two network technicians, who told us that they will inform us in the same day, but they still haven't contacted us and there is big pressure of time

Whatever idea or suggestion would be very helpful

Thanks in advance for your time

Anyone replace or change any of the network cables lately?

Did the remote tech always have a DHCP connection to his ISP (Internet Service Provider)?

Has someone checked with the folks that are providing you your static TCP/IP address to see if there router has gone stale? In-other-words they may have lost the lease on that address and may need to have it released and renewed.

Do you guys have DNS? Sometimes these resolutions get corrupted and the DNS needs to be flushed. These servers (DNS) resolve domain names with their IP addresses.

Can you guys ping the default gateway?

Do you have Internet access?

Has there been any OS changes/updates, software installs, new hardware installs etc? This can effect your access to the outside.

Has someone change the rules for your OU (Organization Unit)?

I know, a lot of questions but a tech would have to know some things before they can possible resolve your problem.

Sorry

Did you confirm that the dynamic IPs (DHCP) on those PCs are still the same as previously thought? They change.. dynamically.. every so often. So to VNC into them you would need to confirm the IP address is the same and that your VNC software doesn't require a restart if running on the host computer.
