Finding the recycle bin

I recovered my hard disc after my computer broke down, and fitted it into an external hard drive holder ( becamse drive K) - I can see all my files Ok but want to recover a file from the recycle bin but it is no-where to be found . Can you help locate it ?

It's in a hidden system foler (called RECYCLER) in the root.
In Windows Explorer Tools -> folder options -> view tab. -> Un-check "Hide protected operating system files".

Not sure if you can directly copy recycled files (never tried), I seem to remember something about recycle bin files being compressed.
