where does windows store the settings for custom toolbars on the taskbar?
i am trying to setup a custom taskbar for all users on one computer without having to do it in each profile. if any new users are created, i would like them to start with this custom taskbar.
where does windows store the settings for custom toolbars on the taskbar?
Store the settings for a new taskbar? The settings for the XP desktop taskbar are accessible by right clicking on the desktop taskbar and using the available options there regarding the desktop taskbar options. Unless there is some kind of prompt to make any newly created user taskbar available for all users, the new taskbar would have to be set up seperately for each user account.

i found (somewhere) that the information is stored in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams\Desktop\TaskbarWinXP
there is a way to export this to the default user registry settings, but i cannot remember the steps right now.
also, the information is not stored in the registry when you setup the taskbars. once they are set, you need to reboot, then the registry key will contain the proper information.
