If those statistics come close to being true, we could be seeing the 8800GTX getting roughly 60-65FPS on 1280x1024. In DX10 for that fact. Not bad.


But like others have said, this is only speculation.

Actually for the speculation to ever reflect an actual card it would now have to be "HD2x00xtx".

is there a next-gen difference between the xtx and the xt? They are with the same set, only difference might be the clocks and memory

If those are real then the 8800GTX is shortlived. I don't consider those figures acceptable performance.

So is my 3800+. That's not the point. You don't just put 2ghz dual core by a bench and expect everyone to be happy with it. If it's real I want to at least see on which mobo and know what processor they were running to compare to my own. It's like the stupid a$$ ads from pc shops lately. 3Ghz intel processor. WTF? They put 3Ghz celrons in there and the people are under the influence that it's a killer pc.

Calm down if you check the post again you will see that it is only speculated performance (as in not real)
So it would be kind of pointless being specific about system specs for what basically comes down to a best guess.

Yeah, a lot of good speculation did for the R600. Everyone thought it was so great with it's 320 stream processors and look how it ended up. With no hard evidence to back it up there ain't no way I can believe it's acurate...

I might be able to play with Crysis with a single 8800GTS 320Mb and with modest quality settings.

no.. that 2x00xtx is kicking the 8800GTX's ass ;P

lol, very well spotted, the x850 is a far superior card to the x1600

Anyway the crysis devs said already that 2 gig is a must, and with a 6600 and 8800GTX you can expect to play the game at ultra high settings nad thats nigh on a quote from them

However they are disabling some gfx stuff and will enable it in 18 months when the hardware catches up to use it

Thats good at those res and settings though. I had a possible virus issue and reghosted my computer but the image was pre Vista installation so Vista disappeared. I haven't had time to reinstall and mess with it of late so my DX10 setup is kaput for now.

I have installed Colin Mcrae DiRT in XP and other than the overblown HDR settings its pretty good. I especially like the Pikes Peak runs, very cool.
