More about windows start
  1. Is there an option for last known good configuration? If not, boot into normal mode or safe mode, then just restart the PC normally. It shouldn't come up the next time.
  2. Agree with aford11.

Try booting the computer into safe mode, on some computers you can "force" the computer to go into safe mode by keeping the F8 key pressed as the computer starts, then select the start the computer in safe mode option.
