I HAVE TO UNINSTALL ALL THE TOSHIBA PROGRAMS ON MY SATELLITE A305 IN ORDER TO GET WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE TO INSTALL. BUT, WHEN I TRY TO UNINSTALL "DVD MOVIE FACTORY FOR TOSHIBA", I GET THIS ERROR CODE ALONG WITH A MESSAGE TO CONTACT THE VENDOR OF INSTALLSHIELD. I'VE BEEN TO THE INSTALLSHIELD SITE AND IT IS AS CLEAR AS SWAMP MUD CONCERNING THIS PROBLEM. ANYBODY ABLE TO HELP???

1. Dont use caps for everything you type!

2. when installing a new OS install it from scratch

3. Backup all info needed!

Well excuse me fowang, but I don't look at the screen when I type and didn't notice I had hit the caps key until question was 90% complete.
You didn't answer the question about the error code. Laptop crashed during backup. You can't install 7 without another Windows OS on the PC.

On forums typing in caps is frowned apon as is regarded as flaming/shouting!

You do not need to have an OS on the laptop to install another OS, pop the dvd in while the Laptop is booting a follow on the onscreen instructions, DONE!
