I have my settings at "best"and the image is so faint I can barely see it.  I have the inexpensive Samsung but do not recall the model number.

Is it supposed to be so faint?

I agree w/ Chicago.  I have a lightscribe and the enhanced contrast utility will definitely improve the image quality of your burnt discs.  (But they will  also take more time to burn.)

I set the contrast to darkest, and the quality to "best" inn Nero, but the quality still stinks.
