I'm helping my buddy build a new PC and I'm wonder if this powersupply will be powerful enough.

http://www.newegg.com/product/prod [...] 6817104954

His specs:

Intel C2D E6320 - (Going to overclock a decent amount!)
MSI P6N SLI-FI 650i Mobo
1 250GB Seagate Barracuda
2 Optical Drives (1 DVD - 1 CD-R/RW)
2 GB DDR800 G.Skill RAM
ATi Radeon 1950 Pro

Thanks.

It'll be fine for his current build, but if he is planning on upgrading to a more powerful GFX card he might need a new PSU, 29a is cutting it pretty close. That is assuming that the previous poster is right with his numbers. Newegg's tech sheet says it has 36, which if it's right, it's plenty of power for a single 8800.

Neweggs tech is wrong, check the FSP site, it says 348W on the combined 12V rails.

348/12=29A

My buddy probably wont be upgrading for a while. I had a hard time convincing his father to even let him buy all the parts instead of using Dell, so buying new parts probably wont be happening lol. But, I'll keep all of that in mind. Thanks again.

Crap, I looked that the wrong info, sorry guys, my bad.

29A is cutting it close for future expansion. It's a decent PSU on the cheap, but for only $40 more you can get something alot better. Take a look at the FSP Blue Storm II as an affordable, mid range PSU if budget's tight. Just one suggestion.
