power cable for HD2900XT

Alright I plan on buying an HD 2900XT soon. But my power supply (Rosewill modular 550W) only has one PCI-e 6 pin connector.

I don't know if the ATI or Sapphire brand cards come with an adapter, so I was going to buy one separately.

Which would be a better idea?

A 6 pin splitter (6 pin to two 6 pin adapter)

I'm going out on a limb here and say you will probably need a completely different powersupply for that card. From what people have posted about Rosewill PSU's and the power requirements of the 2900 cards, that might just be the way to go. However if you are going to insist on using an adapter, the safest would be to use the molex to PCI one and put it on a separate 12V rail from the PCI-e connector if that's possible. This way you will distribute the load of the card over separate wires and rails instead of over one.
