Recently I had a virus/trojan infect my computer to the point where I get the blue screen of death everytime. My antivirus software won't remove it and I'm in safe mode now. System restore wouldnt load so I reinstalled it. Then it said it was blocked by a group policy.

I did these intructions:
navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT

Delete the key called SystemRestore

But everytime I delete the key it shows back up the next time I open up Windows NT and System Restore still wont work. Please help I've tried so much to get this going and if it's just a simple problem I can fix I would greatly appreciate it if somebody helped me.

Did you get rid of the virus?

Got to My Computer-->Local Drive C:-->Windows folder-->show hidden files/folders-->Inf Folder. Find SR.INF, right click on it, and select Install. This should repair the System restore.
