The primary and the secondary slave are not detected and at the same time it is showing a CMOS error :cry: ...After each boot I have to reset the time and the date. I changed my battery , but the problem with the time and the date still exists. I have reset the CMOS...but still it shows the above mentioned warnings on each boot.I have formatted my hard disk too. Please help me with the following problem. I have read about jumpers..but then I have no idea about it. If the problem is with the jumpers...kindly explain jumpers in detail as I have no idea what it actually stands for...

The jumpers on the drives can be set to master, slave, or cable select. On the drive you should see a diagram showing the pin settings. You just need to place the jumper on the 2 pins that are your desired setting.
