I have an old Cassiopeia E-100. I have since then decided to buy a
new PDA. Given that I was wondering if there anything I can do with
the hardware other than using it as a pda?

look for mamece and roms for yor device (mips I believe; there's sh3 as well)
and turn it into an older coin-op game station. great for kids- loads of

iPAQ 4150- 512SD (1), 256SD (2)... HPC's & PDA's since the LG Phenom!

Plays MP3s nicely. But you can't turn off the backlight.

Use it as a remote control. I'm pretty sure I've seen programs to do
that, but can't help with leads.

Yeah I've tried that software before but the range stinks and IR is on
the side which is not really effective.
