i was looking p35 mobos, and looking at gigabyte's top of the line model, it only supported sli with one card running 16x and the other at 4x. is there a mobo with p35 that will run both cards at 16x or should i stick with 680i?

P35 supports 1 16x and 1 4x crossfire, not sli. X38 will support 2 16x crossfire. sli is nVidia crossfire is ATI. If you want sli you will have to get a 650i or 680i nVidia chipset board.

Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus is the only 650i board I know of that would allow both cards in SLI to work at 16x.

Asus P5N32-E SLI (without the Plus) is based on 680i and it's also a nice choice. The Plus overclocks better.

Good luck

I'm not sure now, but I think I read they'll do that through software. Performance might not be that good if that's true. Benchmarks would really help here.

OP: X38 has been promised for late August, in case you want to wait and see.

I know that Asus is coming out with ROG boards on the p35 that allow you to run x8/x8 crossfire using a special chip on the board.
