Did I make a good deal?

I currently sold 2 EVGA 7800GTX 256MB for $250.00 which I then bought a EVGA 8800GTS 320MB for $300.00. I only bought the GTS because I plan on upgrading when the 9 series comes out and I wanted to get the most money out of my 7800's.

What do you all think?

I would say the 8800GTS is a little faster than 2 7800GTX's. Plus you have the capability of DX10, which the 7800's don't.

You got a good deal. Have fun! :D

Good deal but i have to mention that now you can use FP16+AA too!
I play Battlefield 2142 with my brother(LAN) and i run it 1600x1200+16xAA/16xAF. I didn't check the frame rates but i see no FPS drop with 32 Bots against me and my brother!
Happy Battlefielding!

The deal was smart, nice work. Asking for advice after the fact, not so much... You were lucky :p :p

Yeah I know...I felt good about it though. I will ask next time I do this ), maybe when I sell this for the 9 series.

I can tell you that STALKER looked a ton better with the 8 series card compared to my two 7800's!!!! Although I can not max everything out, seems like the textures on STALKER really kill the card, I guess more video memory would of solved that problem?

What did you use to OC your card? I would like to try to OC mine...I know that it is all ready OC'ed a little bit, it is the super clock version from EVGA.

i dont know about any other cards but apperantly the new evga 320 has a better cooling than a gtx and its mad quiet, at least i find soo. i do have like 5 fans running but it keeps everything cool'd. im about to order 2 more fans to mount onto my thermalright extreme.
