I just upgraded my computers ram from 256 to 512 mb. the technician added a lot of programs such as virus protection and other hardware. It still takes 5 minutes to get on line. I have a motorola sb4100 modem. What gives?.

I found these 2 links on you modem but can you list your system specs?
Going from 256 to 512 isnt a huge improvement and I think the trouble could be from something different.
Also please list any other system changes that you may have done,

system specs are: microsoft windows xp home edition version 2002 service pack 2. Pentium (R) 4 cpu 2.20 ghz 2.19 ghz 512 mb of ram. I hope that helps.
