My hard drives are getting hot and i would lot to keep them cool. I would also like to keep my overall computer temperature cool also. my drives are heating up at 50c and this is where i have my raid 5 500gb disks at. i have a p180b and i have the lower case slots full and that fan that antec supplied me with isn't doing the job. anyone know of a fan that is super fast? ( i could care less about the noise )

That is a nice fan but I want to also bring to your attention it is a 120x120x38mm fan. Now i am not sure how exactly the front fan is mounted in P180 but that is a thicker fan then most included with cases. Standard size is USUALLY 120x120x25mm. If you have the room for the mount then that is a good fan. Like i said I do not own a P180 hopefully someone with one will be able to comment and say if the case itself allows for a thicker fan to be placed there if not you could always look into one of Silverstone's fan. Like this one....

thanks for letting me know that. i just thought a 120 mm fan was all i needed.

i looked at newegg's specs of the p180b and i found this

1 rear 120mm Tricool fan (standard) with 3-speed control to balance quiet with cooling
1 top (standard) 120mm TriCool Fan
1 lower chamber (standard) 120mm x 38mm (thick) TriCool Fan

thats good for me :) since im putting this on the lower chamber.

one more thing, I see different types of fans what what does "bearing type" actually mean?

i see bearing types:

Hydro Wave
Ball
2 Ball
Sleeve

what are they ( what do they do) and which one is the best?

That is good you found that.. If I was you i would look into the one i linked to you it has a little less airflow only 4.67cfm less and it is also a quieter fan. But it also includes a fan controller which will allow you to increase and decrease the fans speed when you want. Which is great for times when you are gaming or when you are just trying to relax and watch a DVD or movie on the computer. Now bearing type is exactly what it sounds like it describes the kind of bearing used in the fan. There are many different kinds of bearings and such i would go into them but i am sure you understand how a bearing works and such.

EDIT:SPELLING

yeah, i was looking at that one but im pretty sure speedfan can help me out by adjusting fan speeds for me.

im not sure that i could use the silverstone fan because of 120 x 120 x 25mm

the lower chamber where my 5x 500gb hd's has the dimensions
120 x 120 x 38mm
