Critical stop sound after boot (Annoying..........)

Extremely annoying critical stop sound every time I boot up (20-30 sec in), seems to be in conjunction with quick-start menu coming on-line, just as desktop becomes operable. No error message comes up, simply the sound of a program crashing. Does not appear to affect performance at all, but there must be a better fix than the workaround of simply changing the critical stop sound to something more 'pleasant'. Can't seem to pin it on anything in particular (program installs/deletions, etc..), it just showed up one day, near the time I upgraded ESET from v3 to v4. Thats all I got :)

Anyone out there experience this?

OS - WinXPx64
