I have an Abit NF-M2, and after using an aftermarket HSF for a while (Silverstone NT06 Lite), I noticed that the way it clamps down on the CPU warped the part of the motherboard around the CPU socket.
I have since reverted back to the stock HSF and backplate, but I was wondering if the warpage could have damaged the motherboard. So far I have not encountered any problems, crashes, overheating, etc. but does anyone know just how much warpage a motherboard can take?
