Some Q's for you all.

Can a computer read a flash pen faster then it can read a hard drive?

If yes

Can you set your computer up so that windows would be installed on a flash pen in one of the usb ports and everytime that you trun the computer on it would load of it and speed up boot time?

I see that you can get a 16gb flash pen for around £100/$200 and the windows folder is only 7GB so it would fit.

Would it be worth it, if it can be done?

HDD`s are faster than the flash pens, so there is no point. For the second question, i`m not sure about windows, but linux on a flash drive works fine.
