I am trying to boot my computer from the dvd/cd drive with the recovery discs as I have a bad hard drive (I have added a second hard drive) but it won't recognize the cd drive. It was working fine before the hard drive problem. I set the sequence in bios but it doesn't find the disc. I have uninstalled all the software from the hard drive. I am gettings a boot disc error, please insert disc and press enter message. What do I do now? Thanks.

Do you have more than 1 optical drive? If yes, unplug the one that you aren't using the disc in. In the boot order, disable all boot devices but the optical drive.
