I have Windows XP with SP3. My CD-ROM drive does not open after Windows XP is loaded. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drive. I have adjusted the registry (upperfilters, lowerfilters) according to Mircorsoft instructions and it still does not work. However, it does work before Windows loads. The drive is listed in BIOS but when I try to open the drive after Windows loads, I get a message that says the drive is not connected to the computer. Any suggestions on what I might try beyond what I have already done?
