Hi.

Recently, some process within my computer decided to show the day underneath the time on my taksbar, previously only the time was displayed. Not only does it look unnecessary but it has increased the depth of the taskbar (thickness) which I don't like.
I want to remove the day but leave the time (as it was in the beginning) and for the taskbar to go back to its original depth (thickness).
Unlocking the taskbar and attempting to resize it is pointless, it just makes it disappear below screen; I mention this as this is offered as a solution on many a site I have visited..

Any suggestions??

Thanks Badge,

I followed the link, but it only showed me how if I wanted to resize the taskbar to include date and day as well as time. What I am looking for the task bar to display only the time. To that end I have unlocked the taskbar and tried to shrink it, but the next size down from its current size is for it to disappear below screen. Do you have any further suggestions?

Sounds like the task bar is not properly resizing like the instructions suggest. I think the instructions explain how to include the day and time display and how to reverse the procedure to display normal time only. Beyond that, don't know. Perhaps the taskbar is too cluttered? Must be something simple preventing the resizing of the desktop taskbar to allow only time and not date to be displayed.

Yes, the instructions explained how to add the day to the time and how to reverse the procedure, but I never set my task bar to include the day, the day just appeared below the time about a week ago. Not to worry, I appreciated your reply. Be well. L
