I have a New Vista Laptop and a xp desktop. They can ping each other, can see each other in network places, but cannot open each others folders, get the access denied error. I have file and print sharing enabled, same workgroup, been through the norton firewall settings and enabled everything (on the desktop only), download the LLTD update for XP. I have run out of ideas. Please help

Have you shared any folders or drives on each pc?

Are the share permissions open enough? I mean, is it set to allow "Everyone" access or is it by account basis?

I am sharing music folder and picture folder from the desktop, and the default share folder on the vista machine. As for permissions, I have given all the groups on the vista machine full control. the desktop machine is running xp home.
