My uncle (who knows very little about comfusers) completely messed up my parents XP machine. I don't live w/them, so I didn't know this 'til I went down to visit.

Anyway...whanever anyone tries to open just about anything, we get the "Choose the Program you want to use to open this file..." program list. Even when we navigate to the program's .exe, it still will not open & some even give us error messages.

I believe we figured out when this happened, just not what he did since he doesn't live w/my parents now, but I cannot even get to System Restore! I do remember a few programs coming up w/the error desot.exe @ 1 time, but no more.

If anyone can help, please reply. Thanks.
