A few questions....

Is there a major difference? I know they both support Penryn (45nm).

This seems like a good mobo for a microATX case:

GIGABYTE GA-G33M-DS2R LGA 775 Intel G33 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Might there be a lack of OC options vs the P35 and even more so for the x38?

What do you guys think?

If this is good, I'd probably do a microATX build for penryn when that comes out.

the G33 has a built in graphics subsystem and will probably perform slightly under the P35 cuz its a standalone Mobo

since the x38 is not out yet, the p35 is the next best chipset out there to support penryn and for OC and it has buy far the best memory controller for intel to date.

well it basically comes down to the usage model that you plan to use your rig for...

but if you plan to OC a penryn down the road, then the P35 is the best bet you can go with for now...
