i am facing following problem when i am going to complete resote my aspire 5738 notebook to factory default
hard drive configuration is not set to factory default. Restore aborted

Did you play around with the jumpers and put them into the wrong place? there is usually a diagram on the hard drive that shows how they need to be placed. I believe this could cause it? If I'm wrong someone please jump in!

i bought it and the person at the store did it for me. obv he was a software engineer so he knew how to attach it at the acer store...stil getting the same message so have no clue what to do as i desparately want to restore my windows to factory settings and have no backup cd
