Well, depending on how much you really want out of this thing, I would consider going for the newer p35 chipset mobos. I know Gigabyte has the GA-P35-DS3R for just an additional $30. It also has better future compatibility w/ quad cores and penryn cores.

The memory you picked out is DDR2 553. I would make the step up to DDR2 800. I know there are some cheap 2GB sets of it @ newegg. In particular I recall some G.Skill for $80.

That CPU is great at the moment. Very overclockable, and it has the 4MB shared cache. You might want to consider that intel price drop on July 22nd though. The corresponding quad core (Q6600) should only be ~250.

The 8800GTS 320MB will work very well for you. And you already picked eVGA so I don't have to yell at you for that. :D

Good luck with your build!

That RAM looks pretty good. 4-4-4-12 timings is definitely impressive at that price. If you don't mind the Cas Latency being 5, you could try getting this. The main advantage it has is the Lifetime Warranty. It's worth it in my opinion.

This is the other motherboard I was talking about. It my favorite mobo available right now.
