First custom built PC

This is the first time ive tried to build a custom computer and would like some opinions on the build ive chosen.

CPU - AMD Athlon AM2 x2 4400+
Motherboard - Asus M2N
RAM - 1G-667 Kingston (DDR2)
Graphics Card - 256MB Sapphire X1950 Pro
Case & PSU - CoolerMaster Elite RC-331 w/ 380W PSU
HDD - Seagate 160GB SATA
DVD Drive - Samsung 18x DVD-RW IDE

  1. I know you are building on a budget, but some things are worth paying a little more on.

    Get DDR2-800 RAM because AMD uses memory differently than Intel and you will enjoy top speeds this way. 380W PSU is not enought for most new rigs, any free PSU is worth that much, nothing. Get a nice FSP 430 for about $50. That 50 watts is really closer to 150 TRUE watts.
    No problems with the other parts. Enjoy!
