hi guys

I would be grateful if you could suggest a reconditioned laptop i could use
either
Mac: OSX 10.4.x, G4 1 GHz or Intel Core Duo 1.66GHz 1Ghz RAM
or
PC: Win XP + SP2 PIII 1GHz, Athlon XP 1.4 GHz, 1Ghz RAM

These cpu speeds are the minimum and id like abit more really

I need 3 or 4 USB 2.0 ports

And would like a small screen – even 9” but anything up to 15” accepted

As for the HD - I would prefer a 16GB SSD with a card reader - in other words no moving parts – maybe a 32GB SSD?

No wifi, Bluetooth, camera, TV, DVD reader/writer etc etc required but will accept them

I want to use this machine to run Native Instruments Guitar Rig 3 and Line 6 GuitarPort. – battery life isn’t crucial - 2 hrs would do. The ‘NO MOVING PARTS’ thing is necessary as the machine could take a bang or two when its on and it has to be cheap as one of the bangs could well be its last – knowing my fellow musicians as I do- and then I’ll need another quite quickly so if the suggested machine is a classic, readily available workhorse so much the better

SSD's won't be cheap, however you could by any laptop from anywhere with those specs, but SSD is going to cost a small fortune.
