help with Asus striker mobo

help!

I just purchased the Asus Striker Extreme motherboard with OCZ Reaper memory with an FSB of 1066MHz.
my problem is that it will not work together!

my best guess is that i must change some Bios settings to let the Mobo know i am using 1066MHz memory instead of 800MHz.
I found a setting to adjust the FSB but I have no clue to what they are saying.

if I set the config to unlinked I have to fill in 2 things: FSB (QDR), MHz and MEM (DDR), MHz
the FSB is automatically set to 1066.7 and the MEM is set to 800.0
I can change them but have no idea to what.
I tried several things but nothing works properly.

can any of you help me?
if you need more info just let me know!

thank you all very much in advance.

The FSB and Memory Frequency are seperate settings. Your system would not boot if you are setting the FSB to 1066. C2D default is 266. Try downloading CPUZ (google it) and check the CPU and Memory tab to see where your system is running. Read the MB manual under BIOS and get a better idea of which settings in your BIOS control what. HTH.
  2. the problem in this case is that the manual is not clear on what the settings are and how to divide the settings.
trying to run CPUZ is also no option because the system will not start at all.

Arctucas thanks for the link, now I have something to read!

if anyone elso has the solution at hand please let me know!
