setting up internet on 2nd computer

Hi there -

My dad has sky wireless internet (that he set up over the phone not with a cd) on his latpop.
I have a laptop which currently has nothing on it, no windows or internet.

I want to be able to set up the internet my dad has on my laptop, but have no idea how to do it! - also my dads is a mac, and mines a normal pc.

Any advice? thanks!

What's the whole network setup? Modem to laptop? Modem with wifi/4-port ethernet? Modem to router to laptop?

Wired or wireless modem? What OS?

You can click start, control..., network..., set up..., follow on-screen instructions in the wizard.

My advice would be to visit skyuser.co.uk and see the tutorials there on setting up.
