Lost cut copy past function from drop down box

Hello,
I'm on windows 7 i recently added cut copy paste to my menu bar and now it is inactivated in my "File" drop down box How can I re-activate these functions

What application are you using in windows 7? Why not use ctrl+c or ctrl+v as its quicker

thanks, Inam aware of ctrl+c etc, - not quite sure how to use it. I have always the drop down box in "edit" on my menu bar. Also, just for learning, I' like to get back the function ( under "edit" on the menu bar,) as it is there in grey and it used to be in bold black print. I think I did somethng to make it go away.

I am aware of ctrl+c, but prefer to use the drop down box under "edit" on the menu bar. This is happening on the internet. Thanks
