Hi,

Am considering the above for my IPAQ 3950. Great to use 'out of the
box' for car sat nav, but I also want to use it with other
applications (eg POI Warner and Memory Map).

Can the hardware be used as a general GPS receiver, or is it tied to
the application software that comes with it??

what? the 3950 doesn't come with gps... that's all 3rd party add-on. there's
only 1 pda with native gps, and it ain't made by hp.
