Hi all,

I want to upgrade my old socket 939 system (currently running AMD Athlon 64 3200+) with a new processor. Which one of these 2 processor should I get?

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Toledo 2.0GHz
AMD Opteron 165 Denmark 1.8GHz

This machine is for general purpose usage (watching movie, photoshop, light gaming, etc...) so which processor will give me the most bang for my buck?

Thanks

Edit: I will NOT overclock this system.

I have a new 3800 X2 sitting on my desk. I plan upgrade a kid's socket 939 to dual core later today with it. The 3800 X2 is the better choice.

i'd say the x2 is the better choice because you dont plan on overclocking. but the opteron has more overclocking potential, and they are more reliable. can you list some prices?
