Lost cut copy paste from "edit" drop down box

need help with "edit" drop down box the cut copy paste function is inactive (you can see the words, cut copy paste, but it is gray in color - not functioning) - as opposed to bold print when it does function thanks to anyone who can help More about : lost cut copy paste edit drop box
